Carolyn i dont think you are linking everything you find to how rock & roll is effecting our culture. The last post you did was good for portraying the fact that a lot of music stars have problems with drugs and alchol. But i'm not seeing the link of how thier lifestlyes effect our culture. Maybe you should focus more on making that link.

Elvis, in his early years, was not on drugs but created an uproar in society. People also thought he was on drugs long before he ever was.
Jimi Hendrix
Very crucial to the 60's Rock movement. He had very bad drug use and died in the early 70's from a drug over dose.
Janis Joplin
Like Jimi she was very crucial in the sixties and also died of a drug overdose around the time that he did.
Pink Floyd
A very popular band from the 70's to present day.
Led Zeppelin
Very popular and crucial band in the sense of developing Rock and Roll and setting the image.
U2
U2 is a band thats been around since the early 80's/late 70's. None of their music has profanity in it. They also started out as a christian band.
